Vacancy: Funded PhD Project, University of Sheffield

An exciting opportunity for a funded PhD in the Division of Population Health (previously ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield as part of the Policy Modelling for Health consortium.

This PhD will explore the possibility of using preferences elicited from members of the public taking a social perspective as citizens (as opposed to a personal perspective as private consumers), develop a new protocol to incorporate these into a formal Multi-Criteria Decision Modelling approach and then test in a real-world case study. Supervised by Prof. Aki Tsuchiya & Prof. Robin Purshouse.

Salary: The award will cover academic fees at the UK rate plus a maintenance stipend for 3.5 years. Overseas applicants are welcome to apply but would need to provide the shortfall between the home and overseas fees.

Closing date: Monday 3 February 2025
