Executive Board

PHI UK is managed by an Executive Board, This is chaired by the Network Director and includes representatives of each research consortia - Directors, Co-Directors and Deputy Directors.

The Executive Board’s purpose is to oversee the development and delivery of an inclusive national research network for the improvement of health and reduction in inequalities via population-based approaches.

The Board meets on a monthly basis for network management, direction and governance purposes, and reports to the UKRI PHI UK Oversight Board.

Oversight Board and UKRI

The PHI UK Oversight Board will include UKRI representatives, scientific experts and stakeholders, and will monitor delivery of PHI UK’s objectives and the strategic direction of the network. 

The Oversight Board in turn reports to the UKRI Health Ageing and Wellbeing Programme Board which has ultimate responsibility for PHI UK activity and funding.

Independent Strategic Advisory Group (ISAG)

PHI UK is in the process of setting up an Independent Strategic Advisory Group (ISAG) to provide advice to the Directors. Membership will consist of representatives from the range of science, policy and practice relevant to the Network as a whole. Meetings will be held at least once per year.
